How to fix loose door handles

A loose door handle is usually a simple fix that can be resolved in just a few minutes.

Please try the following:

• Locate the screws on the door handle or door plate — these are sometimes hidden beneath a small cover plate or rose which can be gently popped off.
• Using a Phillips head or flathead screwdriver (whichever fits), simply tighten the screws firmly. Be careful not to overtighten as this can strip the thread.
• Replace any cover plates and test the handle to ensure it is secure.

If the handle is broken, damaged, or the mechanism is not functioning correctly after tightening, please let us know and we will arrange for this to be inspected.
