Life at Area Specialist Dynamic
Community work and team culture

More than just a day job

Good service comes from people who care about more than a quick deal. Here’s a look at what the Area Specialist Dynamic team get behind and how they show up for each other and for the community.

Community work:
The causes we get behind

Here are just some of the community organisations and projects we’ve worked with.

Upcoming Event

St Mary’s House of Welcome Community BBQ

We’re hosting a community BBQ later this year to support St Mary’s House of Welcome’s service users.

Upcoming Event

The Royal Children’s Hospital

RCH150 and beyond

We’re proud partners of The Royal Children’s Hospital. We sponsored two wards, toured the hospital, and backed the Me & UooUoo art trail for the RCH150 anniversary, with our sculpture on show in the Fitzroy Gardens. It helps fund the hospital’s research, family care and equipment.

Foodbank Victoria

Warehouse packing day, Yarraville

Our team packed orders for Foodbank’s charity partners. By the end of the day we’d packed 26 orders, more than 9,500 kilos of food, the equivalent of around 19,000 meals for families doing it tough.

Dare to Cure ice bath challenge

Our managing director, Francis, took the plunge in the Dare to Cure ice bath challenge to raise money for the Children’s Cancer Institute and its work funding research into childhood cancer.

Our team spent the day at the Vinnies Dandenong warehouse, sorting and tagging donated clothes so they could make it onto the shop floor and into the community.

Eat Up Australia

Making school lunches

We’ve pitched in with Eat Up in 2024 and 2025, helping make and pack lunches for school kids who’d otherwise go without. We plan to keep coming back.

The Salvation Army

Christmas toy and food drive

Each Christmas we run a toy and food drive for the Salvos, so more local families have something under the tree and on the table. It’s become a fixture on our calendar.

We work with many community organisations

We back some special causes each year with time, money and hands-on work. If you’ve got a cause close to your heart, we’d love to hear about it.

Team culture:
Our people stick around and enjoy working together

Great work comes from people who enjoy each other’s company. Here’s a look at some of the things we do together. If you’d like to join a team that likes spending time together, we’d love to meet you.

Celebrating 1,000 properties

Celebrating 1,000 properties

Stokehouse, St Kilda

The whole team got together to mark a milestone: 1,000 properties under management. Plenty of agencies manage a few hundred. Reaching a 1000 says something about the trust our owners place in us, and we’re already working on the next thousand.

The Great Pursuit

The Great Pursuit

Amazing race through the city

Split into teams, armed with a map, and let loose across the city to crack challenges along the way. Congratulations to Erik, Juan and Christine, whose team took the win.

Family BBQ

Family BBQ

By the Yarra

We got the team and families together for a barbecue at the Yarra in South Yarra, because the people behind the people matter too.

Go-karting

Go-karting

Auscarts, Port Melbourne

The office heads to Auscarts every couple of years to find out who’s quickest, with lunch afterwards to talk it over. Most recent podium: Juan, Jeremy and Leigh.

Paint and sip

Paint and sip

Port Melbourne

A relaxed afternoon of painting (and a sip or two) in Port Melbourne. The results varied, but the company was excellent.

Winery lunch and games

Winery lunch and games

Cleveland Winery

A day out at Cleveland Winery in Lancefield for lunch, then laser shooting and segway games to sort out the competitive streaks.

Cooking class

Cooking class

OTAO Kitchen

The team swapped contracts for chopping boards at OTAO Kitchen for a hands-on cooking class, and to enjoy a meal we made together.

Pottery class

Pottery class

Céramiques Kew

The team got our hands dirty at Céramiques in Kew for a pottery class. A fun, hands-on session trying something new together and taking home our own creations.

Virtual game nights

Virtual game nights

Online fun

We bring our offshore teammates into the fun with online game nights, a few rounds of Taboo and the kind of carry-on that makes a distributed team feel like one.

Footy tipping

Footy tipping

Sixteen rounds of competition

Everyone thinks they know footy. Once a year, we find out who actually does. A lot of very confident predictions, and a leaderboard that has a way of humbling the most vocal experts in the office.

Think we’d be a good fit?

We’re always glad to meet people who’d fit in, whether you’ve got a property to talk about or you’re an agent thinking about your next move.
